Earlier this week I wrote a review on The Engine Of America. For the most part, I loved the book and I think it has tons of real life inspirational quotes from successful entrepreneurs. I was given a couple of advanced copies of the book, so I’m giving one away to a lucky reader!

I believe that small businesses can succeed with some monetary assistance and good mentoring.

I wonder how many of the businesses talked about in the book had actually received some kind of grant for small businesses like the one started by Prof Yunus of Grameen Bank.

Sounds like a good book. I’ve always wanted to start a business but I don’t like the high costs of renting a store. I may go the e-commerce route. Thanks for the informative articles, I hope I win.

If you enjoyed this book then you must read “The E Myth Revisited” by Michael E. Gerber.

I have dibbled and dabbled in lots of things much like you Danny, and I always thought if my hands weren’t in it, it wouldn’t be done properly. And I am right. E Myth shows you how to be into everything in your business without being there. It frees you from being a slave to what you love while allowing you to enjoy it. The project you start after reading this book could happily be your last effort.

By the way, although I haven’t made much yet, my hobby is making money and other useful products.

Thanks for the comment and recommendation Deborah, I appreciate it. I’ll definitely check out that book. Managing human capital is definitely one of the things I need to read more about.
