This Week’s Hot Topics and Monthly Roundup: I’m So Mad Edition
So you may be wondering why this is the ‘I’m so mad’ edition of this week’s hot topics and our monthly site roundup. I got home after dinner last night to find out that for some reason all my emails are gone. In addition to that, Money Socket lost about 5-7 of the most recent articles as well as comments and poll votes. I checked my e-commerce sites which I also host on the same server and sure enough I lost order details, recent updates and so forth. I don’t even know if my sites can take orders correctly at this point as I haven’t had any sales this morning. Needless to say, I’m very mad. I’ll likely be switching hosts very soon. I went with this discount hosting company and for the past two years things have been great, but lately there has been issues. Luckily I was able to recover Thursday’s articles as well as mine from my RSS reader, but the comments are gone. Please help out and comment again as I really appreciate and enjoy reading everyone’s comments. I hope the server holds up until I switch, thanks for everyone’s understanding.
Here are some of this week’s hot topics from other sites:

Ouch, that’s painful - I try and write my posts on Live Writer (from Microsoft) so that I have a backup on my local laptop, but there’s not much you could do for comments, etc. I guess it’s a possibility with almost any service, though.
Thanks for including my post! Ironically enough I hope you get back to your routine soon! - Steve
Bummer. I receive a copy of all comments in my gmail inbox and archive them under the label “comment”. Same with posts. Anyway, I hope things get back online ok!
Thanks for the nice mention of my post!
Thats a great idea. I have one of my business site’s emails routed to gmail so luckily I was able to retain order information when though my website database lost it. I never thought of doing the same for this site but I may just do that now in case this happens again.
Haha, thanks Steve. I’ll try to get back into my routine asap. But stay tuned, I may just do something out of the blue to stay mysterious!
